PLANS FOR OUTDOOR WORSHIP TAKING SHAPE
A committee of vestry members from both parishes has been diligently at work ensuring a safe and smooth return to in-person worship this fall. They will present a plan to the Vestry boards this Sunday, addressing safety protocols, rain day contingency, and special considerations for our kids returning to Godly Play. Vestry and clergy are committed to continuing to offer remote participation to those who are not able to gather in person, so a lot of thought is also going into what our “hybrid” form of church attendance will look like-- how to live stream in-person worship and small group activities, how we address privacy concerns, and how technology can serve those at a distance while being unobtrusive to those near. Stay tuned for details on all these issues and more! BE THE BRIDGE FORUM IDEAS Last Sunday’s Be the Bridge forum (on Zoom), generated a long list of exciting ideas from members of all five small groups who have been discussing the book on racial reconciliation. We asked participants for steps our churches could take in the next 3 months, the next year, and long term, and we have a lot to choose from! We will gather them into a document before the end of the month and come up with a plan for discerning priorities and involving the wider parish communities. REV.
