OUTDOOR WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY, PRACTICE RUN SATURDAY
In-person worship resumes with a service of Morning Prayer (no Communion) on October 18 at 10 am on the lawn of Annunciation. Things to know before you come:
There will be a practice run for everyone involved in the service (greeters, ushers, musicians, altar and flower guild volunteers, Godly Play helpers, acolytes, readers, and worship committee members) on site, Saturday, October 17 at 9:30 am. DO YOU NEED A BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER (BCP)? We are getting back to basics to this fall by turning to our Book of Common Prayer instead of using customized bulletins. If you do not own a current edition of the prayer book, let us know and we will get you one. And don’t worry, you can still find everything you need to follow the service on the WORSHIP page of the Annunciation website. You can also bookmark www.bcponline.org/, buy the Electronic Common Prayer app for your smartphone or tablet, or purchase your own hard copy or ebook edition from your preferred bookseller. PET BLESSING MOVED TO 10/25 Because vestry is meeting this Sunday evening, our October pet blessing is moving to the following Sunday, October 25, from 4-6 pm on the lawn of Annunciation. Stay tuned for details about a Zoom pet blessing, for our at-home pets too! SERMON SERIES: EVERYTHING YOU WONDERED ABOUT BEING AN EPISCOPALIAN (or maybe forgot) In lieu of using a classroom format for our fall introduction/refresher on our history, tradition and theology, Rev. Duane is going to cover these topics in a 4-week sermon series, beginning this Sunday. If you are thinking about being confirmed, reaffirmed, or received at Annunciation or Mount Olivet (or are wondering what those terms even mean), this series is especially for you!
