Back-to-School at Annunciation!

Come out and volunteer to help neighborhood kids!

Annunciation and Christian Faith Ministries, the church that meets at Annunciation at 8 a.m. on Sundays, are planning a back-to-school event here at Annunciation on Saturday, Aug. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

We are inviting 200 children, K-3rd grade from Harney School, 3503 Willow St. There will be bouncy houses, games, storytelling, food and a school supply giveaway.

Dedra Thomas of CFM got the school supply lists from Harney. Ochsner Hospital is donating backpacks and supplies.

WONDERING WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP?
This is a great opportunity for us to meet the people from Christian Faith and do  some community outreach. We need volunteers to:  

• Stuff backpacks with school supplies (date to be announced)
• Set up the event Aug. 12  at 9 a.m., and/or  break down at 1:30 p.m
• Help with games, food service and storytelling, Aug. 12 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
• Donate some cash toward food and bouncy houses.
